Birman breed cat can be found in rescues or a cattery.
It is a semi-longhaired feline, of any coat color, but with a necessary pointed pattern. It differs from other types because of its stocky body build, white paws and sapphire blue eyes. Their temperament is as sweet as their appearance as they are docile, people-oriented.

The first appearance of this feline type was in France in 1919. It was a pregnant female imported from Burma. Sacre de Birmanie is the French name of the breed. There is a wide spread theory that this type was developed by French breeders. Birman breed cat can be found in rescues or a cattery.
